Abstract

The article considers the phenomenon "period of change" in the context of changes in the world as a whole, at the social, economic, personal levels and at the level of functioning of the education system. Examples of foreign and domestic experience of actions in periods of change are given. Given the recent events in the world and in Ukraine, the period of negative changes is correlated with the spread of pandemic processes and the imposition of martial law. The outlined period of negative changes became significant for the study of didactic tools for the implementation in the New Ukrainian School of the competence potential of mathematics and natural sciences in the process of teaching students of primary school, adolescence and youth. During the experimental work, attention was focused on the category of "approach" as a component of didactic tools. Based on the analysis of experimental data, three groups of approaches have been identified that guide the process of realizing the competence potential of mathematics and natural sciences in the learning process of primary school, adolescent and youth students. It was also found that a number of approaches that are important for the process of realizing the competence potential of mathematics and natural sciences in the modern school, taking into account the period of negative changes, were left out of the attention of teachers. The article substantiates the expediency of the organization of process using such approaches as: age approach, eco-inferential, "dyad basis". Experimental introduction of these approaches during the realization of the competence potential of mathematics and natural sciences led to the stabilization of student performance in the period of negative changes, increasing interest in the learning process and improving overall performance.
