Abstract

The publication deals with various approaches to defining terminology. The author notes that terms and terminologies are a necessary tool for the formation of scientific theories, laws, regulations and are represented as integral components of science and technology. Mastering terminology is the main problem in the process of mastering any scientific knowledge, because terminological units play an important role in professional and scientific communication. Indeed, a specialist who works in a certain field of human activity will not be able to fully realize his capabilities without mastering the terminology. The inaccuracy of scientific and technical terminology leads to great difficulties both in economic activities and in educational activities related to the mastery of this or that special discipline
