Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the European experience in the formation of entrepreneurial competence, which assumes a strong connection with the economic and financial literacy of a person. The article emphasizes that entrepreneurial competence contains pronounced social, pedagogical and meaningful aspects and has specific characteristics. The author analyzed the concept of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial initiative, characterized the main features, components and features of entrepreneurial education. Based on the European experience, the author notes that the problem of the development of entrepreneurship education may be quite appropriate in the higher education system, and in universities in particular, taking into account their scientific, technical and innovative potential. The author analyzed the main models of entrepreneurship education used in global and European practice. The article pays special attention to the state of development of entrepreneurial competence in Ukraine and the need to popularize the ideas of ecological and socially oriented entrepreneurship.
