Abstract

The pedagogical principles of librarianship are substantiated. The formation and development of library pedagogy is highlighted. It was concluded that library pedagogy is a promising field for domestic librarianship and requires a systematic approach in the development of its theoretical and methodological foundations, taking into account the current negative trends of decreasing interest in reading in society and its replacement by social networks and other, often dubious or harmful, content in internet
