Abstract

The article analyzes the problem of the development of methodical work in preschool institutions of Ukraine (1920-1923). The main trends of the 20s-30s of the 20th century are identified: the orientation of preschool education to the changing nature of society's needs; reforming preschool education; carrying out professional training of educators; ideologisation of educational work in preschool educational institutions; separation of theoretical training of educators from practical training in institutions of higher education. The concept of "methodical work" was not used in wide pedagogical circulation, but was only written in the names of instruction letters, recommendations, and regulations.
