Abstract
The article provides a theoretical analysis of the concept of "personal potential", defines its basic properties and types. The personal potential is considered by the authors as a dynamic integrative phenomenon that ensures the success of the processes of individualization, socialization and professionalization. Also, the theoretical analysis of the personal potential in the educational environment was done. The individual activity of person is considered as a basis for successful development of personality in university educational environment. The results of empirical research of the students’ individual activity derived the following indicators: the hierarchy of values and meanings, basic beliefs, the developed activity structure, volitional qualities, the need for achievement, the level of claims. The psychological profile of the average student in social sciences and the parameters of students’ personal activity were defined. The sample of the program of psychological and pedagogical support of personal potential building in university educational environment was proposed
