Abstract
The article highlights the organization, course and results of the formative stage of research and experimental work on the development of creativity of the future vocal performing artists at solo singing classes. The authors have carried out an analysis of the foreign and domestic scientific publications on the specified issue, in the process of which it was proposed to divide existing research into two groups: the works based on the concept of creativity as a universal cognitive creative ability (J. Guilford, S. Taylor, E. Torrance, A. Ponomariov, S. Mednik, etc.); the works where creativity is considered as singularity of personal characteristics of creative people (F. Barron, A. Maslow, D. Bohoiavlenska, etc.). The objective and tasks of the formative experiment are presented, its three stages are defined: adaptational and motivational, content-related and deepening, creative and artistic. The first stage (adaptational and motivational) included students’ adaptation to the new conditions of vocal training, generation of interest in their future profession. At this stage, the following methods were implemented: orientational conversations on the purpose of vocal art, demonstration of stage interpretation of vocal works with a reference to famous singers, involvement into music creation with the help of a computer “musical notes editor”, usage of computer projects of informational, research, creative direction. The second stage (content-related and deepening) was focused on expanding students’ awareness of vocal art, making of evaluative and critical, and personal attitude to artistic phenomena, accumulating emotional and hedonistic experience and the ability to evaluate vocal works. During the implementation of this stage, the following methods were implemented: conviction in deepening theoretical knowledge of the disciplines of vocal and performing cycle, awareness of the need for clear knowledge of anatomical and physiological foundations during performance of vocal works, increasing the degree of activity in educational process, applying the system of questions and tasks aimed at developing knowledge, skills and abilities in vocal technique, expanding awareness of the analysis of a piece of music. The third stage (creative and artistic) included the development of students’ internal activity in vocal and performing activities, ensurance of emotional response to music, understanding the role of means of musical expression and performance skills in creating a musical image. The specified stage involved the use of the following methods: delivering creative and evaluation trainings regarding the results of interpretation, staging of vocal works, achievements and public concert activities; application of creative tasks, application of self-analysis and self-assessment methods. The results of the study drawing on the example of the students of the experimental group have convincingly proved the high efficiency of the methodology implemented in the educational process, aimed at developing the creativity of the future vocal performing artists at solo singing classes in a higher education institution of art direction.
