Abstract

One of the priorities of the New Ukrainian School is to create a high-quality inclusive educational environment. This requires considerable effort from both the primary school teacher and his/her assistant, because younger students with special educational needs should feel comfortable, safe and supported by every participant in the educational process. Evolution of individual student development programs and the use of additional tasks facilitate the process of adapting a child to the educational process. But today there are tools that not only facilitate adaptation but also optimize the educational process. Current realities do not allow for the full promotion of learning and awareness of students with special educational needs. Therefore, elementary school teachers and their assistants face a new challenge – to organize the educational environment in such a way that students are maximally involved in the educational process. Among the most effective and modern tools is the use of information and communication technologies in the educational space of an inclusive classroom. Their diversity and time-tested effectiveness will enable students to better adapt and perceive the material presented. The analysis of scientific and pedagogical sources on the topic of the study emphasized the importance of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the educational space of the inclusive classroom. The modern educational process in the inclusive classroom of general secondary education institutions should be improved through the use of the following information and communication technologies: digital textbooks, digital stories, LearningApps, Smart Notebook, Lingokids, Speech Blubs, Duolingo, Lingualeo, etc. These tools help children with special educational needs to better perceive, understand and reproduce learning material, motivate them to interact with others and complete tasks independently at their own pace.
