Abstract
The article summarizes the prerequisites of the digital transformation of the sphere of education in general and educational institutions, in particular. Successful foreign practices of other countries, where commercial entities work on the development of digital technologies not only for business, but also for education, are considered. The transition from a “paper” educational environment to a “digital” one was studied on the example of US educational institutions. The concept of digital education available in Ukraine was analyzed, in which the “digital institution of education” includes several important components: the content of educational programs, information platforms, digital infrastructure, a system of training and retraining of teachers. Taking into account the current level of development of science and technology in the world, including in Ukraine, as well as the processes of digitization of various spheres and industries of the country, the development and use of the latest digital technologies in education is considered according to three possible scenarios: conservative development of the educational institution, erosion of the educational institution and transformation of the educational institution. The choice of one of the possible options depends on the financial and logistical support of the educational institution, the readiness and ability of managers and teachers to change and adapt to new realities, the level of support and assistance of state institutions in the digital transformation of the institution. The authors emphasize the variety of modern digital technologies that have their value for the digital transformation of educational institutions, among them: virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, blockchain technology. All of them are aimed at increasing the visibility of the material mastered by students, increasing the level of transparency in the assessment of knowledge, fast processing of a large array of data in order to find the optimal course of action. As in other spheres of social life, artificial intelligence and chatbot technology are being used in the educational process today, which are aimed not only at facilitating the teaching of educational material or mastering new information, but also at the same time at increasing the quality and transparency of educational process, evaluation of the emotional state of all its participants.
