Abstract
The proposed research reveals the productive types of agents in the textual resource of the media. It has been proved by examples that globalization challenges have fixed Ukrainian-language word-forming types of agencies in the mass media discourse. The key non-linguistic and intralinguistic factors influencing the word-forming types of agents in the texts of the postmodern media have been also identified. Modern language tendencies of word formation of agents due to gradual penetration of conversational style into the media sector have been recorded. In the course of the research it has been shown that the most used in the language of modern Ukrainian media discourse are agents for designating persons by gender and type of activity, motivated by noun and verb bases. Individual practices of journalists' speech have been proved that media discourse supplements the vocabulary with uncodified grammatical classes of words by means of derivatology, including noun and verb bases. The focus is on productive and unproductive word-forming types of agencies that denote the individual, area of interest, professional affiliation. It has been noted that the postmodern era of the media sector focuses on agents with a motivational verb base. Equal word-forming affixes for competing agency names have been singled out. The role of productive word-forming types that ensure the stability of the norm has been illustrated by examples. It has been proved that the word-forming types blocked by the language system illustrate deviations from language norms. The analyzed textual resource of the media gives grounds to record the globalization pressure on the choice of productive word-forming type. Attention has been focused on the processes of autochthony with the dynamics of the wordforming type of verbs on -nik, -ik. Examples have illustrated the ability of this word-forming type to combine with different motivational bases to enhance the expressiveness of the opinion. Frequency has indicated the use of word-forming type of agents in -ivets, -ets. Examples have confirmed the ability of the named word-forming type to form derivatives of proper names. The influence of international bases on production with specific Ukrainian word-forming types of derivative agents has been also outlined. The importance of the processes of revival of Ukrainian-language derivatology for preserving the identity of postmodern journalism has been proved.
