Uncontrolled Keywords: | The article is devoted to the study of the role of Internet technologies and social media in the educational process and professional activities of teachers of higher education institutions and the substantiation of their importance for improving learning and communication between students and teachers. It is noted that currently, Internet technologies and social media are widely used to advertise and create an image of an educational institution, disseminate information about its activities and capabilities, inform about the list and features of educational programs and the provision of educational services, receive feedback and feedback from students and other stakeholders, entertain and involve students and applicants in joint events. Educational institutions, including higher education, use Internettechnologies and social media for their marketing strategy. The article examines the importance of media literacy for teachers of higher education institutions in the context of using social media. It is noted that the correct perception and critical interpretation of information, the skills of creating media texts and attracting theattention of social media users are effective for the development of effective strategies for interaction with the audience. The article emphasizes the need forethical and competent dissemination of information in order to gain the trust of readers and attract them as regular subscribers. The importance of knowing yourtarget audience and creating unique content to capture their attention and interest is also discussed. The authors of the article present their experience of holding the «Palette of Talents» competition as an example of the effective use of Internet technologies and social media in the educational process. This competition was held online at the Volodymyr Vynnychenko Central Ukrainian State University. The authors conclude that such contests popularize art and design, become a platform for uniting communities, and the contest pages on social media are used for discussions, advertising the educational institution, and engaging stakeholders in cooperation. The factors that contribute to the successful implementation of Internet technologies and social media in the educational process of higher education institutions and the development of effective strategies for using social media to achieve educational goals are considered. According to the authors, this affects the formation of a favorable environment for the introduction of Internet technologies and social media in the educational process of higher education institutions, which ensure the involvement of students, facilitate collaboration on projects and the exchange of ideas, as well as quick access to relevant information. Based on the analysis of different types of social media, the main ways and strategies for their use in higher education institutions to improve communication, cooperation, and active involvement of students in learning are identified. |
