Abstract
The article substantiates the relevance of considering the phenomena of spirituality and its role in choosing constructive behavior in a crisis (stressful) situation. It is noted that the consideration of coping behavior and its components, in particular spiritual resources, are vital builders of our time. The purpose of the article is to find resources that will help to deal with life's difficulties and increase the degree of choice of coping behavior. It is stated that strategies for overcoming stress are considered in the domestic and foreign literature as synonymous with the concepts of "coping behavior" and "constructive behavior". Coping behavior is understood as such behavior that is aimed at eliminating the force of the stressor. The features of coping resources are listed: the resource is always intelligent, the resource is useful for solving a difficult life situation, human resources form a system and therefore can be interchanged, the usage of resources is individual, flexibility of resources allows a person to use a variety of opportunities, a person constantly develops his/her resources, reasonably avoiding risks, creating and preserving his/her own resources for future coping behavior. It is emphasized that freedom, life meaning, and other existential resources in difficult, crisis circumstances provide a choice of constructive behavior to overcome them. According to the authors, they are the sources of spiritual resources that influence coping behavior. And the low development of coping resources contributes to the formation of passive, maladaptive coping behavior, social isolation and disintegration of the individual. An empirical study of these factors is carried out using the SACS questionnaire by C. Hobfall. This is the most modern, multidimensional model for studying individual behavioral strategies for dealing with stressful situations. The results of the researching using this methodology are considered and conclusions are reassembled. Individual behavioral strategies can contribute to or prevent the success of overcoming stress, depending on the degree of one's own psychological resource, and also affect the health of the subject of communication and work. Active constructive coping strategies (coping) in combination with the positive use of social resources (contacts) increases a person's stress resistance. We consider the researching of spiritual practices and their role in the choice of coping behavior to be a promising further researching of the problem.
