Abstract

The peculiarities of the formation of the professional competence of a music teacher in the process of conducting and choral training are considered, the competence concept of education is characterized as practically oriented, which provides conditions for the acquisition of specific knowledge, abilities and skills, as well as the ability to effectively apply them in the process of professional activity. It is noted that the issues of competence education are actualized in pedagogical science and practice by the new conditions of self-realization of a modern person, a new understanding of his professionalism, and its criterion is the level of professional competence as an integral quality of a specialist. The specifics of the professional competence of future music teachers and its formation in the process of conducting and choral training are revealed, and it is noted that, in addition to general pedagogical training, they also acquire professional (choirmaster) abilities. Its structure is determined, which correlates with the main groups of competences: artistic and artistic (knowledge in the field of choral art), methodical and organizational (ability to develop the musical abilities of schoolchildren by means of vocal and choral singing), choir master (ability to develop vocal and choral works in the process of learning them and performance). This is due to the complex nature of their practical activity, which requires combining pedagogical and choral performance components, requiring a complex approach to their formation. The need to enrich the content of the educational disciplines of the cycle of conducting and choral training, to expand the practical experience of choirmaster work, the need to methodically support the educational process by introducing specialized courses on the history of Ukrainian choral music and methods of working with a children's choir is emphasized.
