Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of professional development of piano students in the context of university education. The scientific works on this topic are analyzed. The essence of the key concepts of the study and their interpretation in the context of professional training of students in the piano class is determined. Professional development of students in the class of a special instrument is considered in two meanings – as a level of professional enlightenment and instrumental-performing skills; as a set of professional and personal changes, that occur in the process of a student's educational activity and provide a qualitatively new, higher level of solving professional problems in the field of piano performing. The main factors of professional development of university students in the class of a special instrument (piano) are determined: natural musical abilities of the student and the level of his pre-university training, professional competence of the teacher and educational environment. The main aspects of students' professional development in the special piano class are identified – instrumental performing, intellectual, individual-psychological and general cultural. The definition of the subject of research is given. The professional development of a student in the class of a special instrument (piano) is a process of formation, development and improvement of musical abilities, professional skills and personal qualities of a student, as well as a result, characterized by a qualitatively new level of instrumental-performing skills of the pianist. Conclusions are formulated: 1. Success of a piano student's professional development depends on his musical abilities and self-improvement, professional competence of the teacher and effective organization of the educational process. 2. Professional development of students in the class of a special instrument (piano) should be carried out in instrumental performing, intellectual, individual psychological and general cultural aspects, which will ensure comprehensive training of future artists for concert and pedagogical activities
