Abstract

The article examines the activities of the UNR State Center in exile from 1920 to 1992. The main areas of work of the UNR government in exile were analyzed: political, organizational, foreign policy, humanitarian, military, etc. in the context of the main trends of world development in the 1920s-80s. Outlined the main periods of activity of the State Center of the Ukrainian National People's Republic. Attention is paid to personalities — presidents, heads of government and heads of representative bodies — their role in the Ukrainian national liberation movement. Special attention is paid to the issue of legal succession of the Ukrainian People's Republic and modern Ukraine and the process of the transfer of powers from the State Center of the Ukrainian People's Republic to the newly established authorities of Ukraine in August 1992
