Abstract

The article examines self-control and self-assessment as phenomena that are relevant for modern times, given their multifunctionality, implementation in the process of learning, professional activity, and everyday life. The significant interest of scientists in revealing the essence of these phenomena, highlighting the peculiarities of their formation and practical application served as a prerequisite for the author of the article to identify the expediency of their integration. As well as the establishment of semantic variability inherent in phenomena, which is conveyed by identical terms-contexts (process, formed ability, mental personal formation). The technology "Matrix integration of self-control and self-evaluation (MISS)" is based on the combination of self-evaluation and self-control as complementary processes; contributes to the formation and development of the integral ability underlying these processes, as well as to the improvement of the personality substructure, which ensures the effectiveness of these and other processes. A basic table was developed for the practical implementation of the "MISS" technology. When filling it out, the information provided in the training plan for higher education applicants according to the educational and professional program, according to which the students are studying, is used. Information recorded in the work program of the educational discipline, during the teaching of which it is planned to use this technology, is also used. A table with filled-in information about the types of classes, their number, types of activities, evaluation of each type of activity, the maximum number of points per semester is provided to the student for further self-monitoring and self-evaluation. At the beginning of studies in an academic discipline, students conditionally receive the maximum number of points that can be obtained per semester during the study of an academic discipline. The MISS technology provides that, depending on the student's learning results, he keeps all the points for himself (in the case of effective learning) or returns unused points (in the case of ineffective learning), or shows a desire to improve his results and returns the unused points back, i.e. to himself. The practical aspect of implementing the "MISS" technology has been experimentally verified in the process of teaching various educational disciplines. Data on the significant potential for systematic involvement of education seekers in self-monitoring and self-assessment are also summarized.
