Abstract
The article delves into the pivotal role of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathemat-ics) education in the context of elementary schools. It emphasizes the methodological foundations for imple-menting STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) in the education of young students, showcasing the primary advantages of STEAM education for the new generation in comparison to traditional educational approaches. STEAM education is characterized by its integrative nature, allowing for the effective fusion of subjects such as natural sciences, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. This interdisci-plinary approach fosters a well-rounded education that prepares students for the complexities of the modern world. One of the key strengths of STEAM is its capacity to foster deep knowledge acquisition in diverse subject areas while cultivating essential skills needed in today's rapidly evolving society. Central to this approach is the concept of integrated learning, which contributes to the development of core competencies. These compe-tencies encompass effective communication in both native and foreign languages, mathematical proficiency, a solid grasp of natural sciences and technologies, fluency in information and digital literacy, and the ability to engage in lifelong learning. STEAM education transcends traditional boundaries, encouraging creative thinking and fostering critical problem-solving skills. By emphasizing teamwork and collaboration, students develop the ability to work collectively to tackle real-world challenges, further preparing them for the demands of a highly dynamic and interconnected world. In essence, STEAM education in elementary school opens a multitude of opportunities for the holistic development of the younger generation. It equips them with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to thrive in an era defined by rapid change and technological progress
