Abstract
In the contemporary educational context, educators and parents turn to creative and innovative teaching methods to foster cognitive abilities in preschoolaged children. This article explores the impact of using LEGO bricks on the formation of cognitive activity in five-year-old children. Focusing on the significance of this developmental period, the article analyzes pedagogical strategies and methods through which LEGO can become a key tool for active learning and child development. The emphasis is placed on recent research on the issue of forming cognitive activity in preschool-aged children, referencing the scholarly contributions of V. Vertugina, V. Kyrychuk, N. Pasternak, O. Savchenko, T. Sadova, V. Surzhanska, A. Rudakova, T. Ponomarenko, and others. The article also dedicates a significant portion to the psychological context of using LEGO as a means to stimulate the creativity and logical thinking of five-yearold children. It traces existing approaches in shaping cognitive activity through LEGO, examining its impact on attention development, logical thinking, and creativity. Practical material for implementing methodical support in cognitive activity formation is presented. It is noted that achieving positive results in addressing the defined issue is possible only through the collaboration of all participants in the educational process: children, educators, and parents. The article underscores the importance of organizing extracurricular LEGO activities. This article serves as a platform for studying and understanding the influence of pedagogical innovations on the development of cognitive abilities in the youngest members of society, representing a crucial step in ensuring their successful adaptation to the modern educational environment.
