Abstract

The article analyzes the semantic and functional types of authorized constructions, their comprehensive analysis is carried out. The semantics of authorization and persuasiveness are distinguished. Persuasiveness is interpreted as the author’s impact of a verbal or written message on his addressee for the purpose of persuasion or call to action, where the speaker verbalizes the statement consciously in order to change a certain behavior of the recipient or influence his views. Persuasiveness should not be equated with the concept of suggestiveness, which is a hidden verbal influence, but, unlike persuasiveness, is taken on faith, without critical evaluation and lack of control by the addressee’s consciousness at the time of receiving and processing information. It is determined the syntactic units and lexical elements with the authorization function which include proper lexical elements, lexical-syntactic means and syntactic units. A gradation according to the level of connection between the utterance and the subject of linguistic activity is offered. This is an objectified way of presenting information (zero authorization indicator), conditionally authorized utterances (the connection with the subject is not explained, but is implied in the semantics of the predicate), an authorized way of presenting information (an explicit indicator of authorization). The obtained results make it possible to deepen the theoretical and practical aspects of the problem of authorization as a language category, its systemic nature and ways of its expression in the Ukrainian language. Consideration of authorized constructions in the context of the theory of syntactic isofunctionality opens up new perspectives for studying the category of authorization and concepts close to it. The practical significance of the article is related to the possibility of using the materials and research results in the practice of teaching such disciplines as Ukrainian grammar, stylistics, special courses devoted to modern grammatical and syntactic scientific concepts in higher education institutions.
