Abstract

The creative search of Tetiana Yablonska (1917–2005) in the early twentieth century was outlined. The specifics of the artist's appeal to pastels in the period of her work, when she was limited to the territory of her own apartment, the view from the window, and painted with her left hand, is revealed. A number of the author's works created in 2003-2005 was analysed. The specifics of Tetiana Yablonska's authorial style in the specified period of time, related to the contemplation of changes in nature at a time when the artist could no longer speak and realised that her earthly life was coming to an end, was characterised. The artistic and figurative features of her last creative potentials, which to a certain extent had an art-therapeutic character, made with coloured chalk pencils, were revealed. It is outlined that these intentions were aimed at observing the surrounding world, contemplating changes in the states of nature and further refining the subtle world of the artist
