Abstract
The article highlights the role and features of the formation of the anticipatory capacity of adolescents, which is especially significant today, in the conditions of martial law and social transformations. The formation of anticipation begins in adolescence and subsequently affects the formation of the personality, its vision of its life scenario, adaptability and life achievements. In modern psychology, anticipation is understood as a person's ability to predict the course of events, their actions and the actions of others, the ability to build activities based on an adequate probabilistic forecast. The problem of anticipation in psychology is still poorly studied. The works of researchers indicate that the insufficiently formed ability of a person to predict the course of events and his own behavior in various life situations is considered anticipatory failure. The process of successful social adaptation is associated with the possibility of probabilistic forecasting. In order to theoretically and empirically investigate the features of the anticipatory ability of adolescents in conditions of martial law, a pilot study was conducted under our leadership. The sample included 12 Ukrainian and 12 Israeli adolescents who were born in Israel and are the second generation of migrants from the post-Soviet space. As a methodological tool, taking into account the characteristics of the sample, the test of anticipatory ability (prognostic competence) by V.D. Mendelevich was chosen, which allows examining four types of anticipatory ability - general, temporal, spatial and personal-situational. In general, both respondents in group 1 and respondents in group 2 demonstrated a low level of anticipatory ability of all types. Among the four types of anticipation – general, temporal, spatial and personal-situational, the most underdeveloped among respondents in both groups was spatial anticipatory ability. Statistically significant differences were found for personal-situational anticipatory ability. A comparative analysis of the development of the types of anticipatory ability of adolescents who were prepared for the possibility of military actions in the country and those who were not prepared for them suggests that anticipatory ability can be attributed to the properties of the personality that change and which, with targeted influence, can be developed.
