Abstract

It was noted that in view of the significant destruction of the energy infrastructure of Ukraine, the restoration and modernization of this sector is critically important for ensuring the energy independence and stability of the country. The active involvement of private business in the submission of projects is key to the mobilization of investment resources and the rapid restoration of energy capacities. The development of alternative energy, in particular solar and hydropower, are promisingdirections for investment. Considering the suitability of the territory of Ukraine for the installation of solar power plants and the availability of water resources, the development of these subsectors can be an important step towards reducing dependenceon energy imports and increasing resistance to external influences. Restoration and expansion of hydropower capacity is also important, especially in the context of the destruction and damage of key hydropower plants, which emphasizes the need for investment in the reconstruction and creation of new hydropower facilities. Nuclear energy remains an important component of Ukraine's energy balance, ensuring stable energy supply and contributing to the achievement of carbon neutrality goals. The following areas of investment prospects in the energy sector are highlighted: 1)attraction of foreign investments in renewable energy; 2) modernization and reconstruction of the existing energy infrastructure; 3) development of energy networks and integration into the European energy system; 4) energy saving and energy efficiency improvement; 5) the use of Ukrainian natural resources for the development of the domestic energy market; 6) digitalization and implementation of innovative technologies in the energy sector; 7) financial instruments and investment models in the energy sector: Study of various financial mechanisms (green bonds, state guarantees, financing programs of international organizations) to stimulate investments in the energy sector. Assessment of public-private partnership models and risk management mechanisms.
