Abstract
The article analyzes an important aspect of the functioning of higher women's school in the Russian Empire – women course attendees’ ability to pay tuition fees. It also discovers main ways of resolution of this issue by administration of women's higher education courses and benefactors, forms of assistance to needy women listeners.
