Abstract

The article is devoted to determining the impact of emotions and stressful situations on crisis decision-making. The war has become one of the great modern crises of mankind, which poses a threat to the psychological state of the population. It has been shown that people react differently to crises and control their emotions. Some are characterized by temporary shock and rapid recovery, without changing their normal lifestyle. While others need support, and in some cases experience significant psychological disturbances. All this affects the decision making process. The decision-making process affects a person's life and is related to executive functions. These functions refer to high-level cognitive processes that, by influencing lower-level mental processes, regulate and control our thoughts and purposeful behavior. Modern research has shown that one of the most important components of the decision-making process is the cognitive and emotional components. It has been proven that the emotional pathway in decision-making plays a crucial role, especially in situations characterized by ambiguity, uncertainty and risk. Different personality traits and decision-making styles have shown significant and specific correlations with individual tendencies to process emotional or cognitive information for decision-making. The study identified qualities that help maintain a normal emotional state during crises. These include psychological resilience and adaptation, a person's inner potential, personal traits, etc. Psychological resilience is the ability to effectively cope with stressful life factors to maintain good mental health. It depends on individual resilience, vitality, and vitality. Thus, the analysis of scientific research has shown that emotions play an important role in the decision-making process, especially in various modern crisis situations. The article shows the relationship between individual differences in terms of subjective predisposition to the cognitive and emotional path of decision-making, personality traits, decision-making styles, and physiological correlates of decision making efficiency.
