Abstract
The study of the disciplines of the cycle of conducting and choral training in higher art educational institutions has its own specifics, therefore the issue of their methodological support, in particular the course of methods of working with a vocal ensemble, thanks to which students acquire the ability to work on learning a vocal work with a performing group, does not lose its relevance. This course still requires enrichment of methodological support by preparing methodological recommendations on the material of specific vocal and choral works. The main aspects of the methodology of working with a vocal ensemble are revealed, the means of musical expressiveness and choirmaster's techniques for their implementation in the process of studying a vocal work are characterized, performance difficulties are identified and ways to overcome them are suggested. It is noted that a component of the professional competence of a vocalist is also his readiness to work with a vocal ensemble, that is, to select the repertoire in accordance with the singers' performance capabilities, to analyze vocal works, to determine the goal and objectives of classes with individual performers, with the vocal part or the collective as a whole, to involve expressive means for its implementation. Such analysis forms the basis of the performance plan, which provides for appropriate techniques and means for reproducing the sound of a vocal and choral work. The research methodology consists of methods of complex analysis, showing, explaining, and demonstrating. The score of the choral miniature "Spring Again and Hope Again" by Yuri Shamo to the words of Lesya Ukrainka was analyzed, the means of musical expressiveness were considered, and choirmaster techniques for their implementation in the process of studying it with a vocal ensemble were proposed. The poetic text of the vocal work is characterized, the elements of musical expressiveness (rhythm, tempo, tonality, dynamics, timbre, harmony), the choirmaster's techniques of working on the work are emphasized.
