Abstract

This paper generalizes the research results in the study of the phenomenon of anti-Americanism and anti-Western sentiments in Europe and post-Soviet states. It traces the historical roots of anti-Americanism, originating in early European critiques of American society and evolving into broader political and cultural opposition, especially in the context of U.S. foreign policy. The issue focuses mainly on the contemporary manifestations of anti-Americanism, influenced by events such as the 2024 U.S. presidential elections and the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war. These geopolitical developments have intensified anti-American narratives, especially in Eastern Europe, where Russian propaganda plays a key role. The analyzed materials present various methodological approaches and theoretical perspectives, offering insights into the nature, origins, and implications of anti-American attitudes in the selected regions.
