Abstract
The article considers the term Ecclesiastes as: 1) the title of the book - a monument of aphoristic literature, which is part of the corpus of Scriptures (Ketuvim) of the Jewish TaNaH and the ‘wisdom literature’ of the Christian Old Testament (the Book of Ecclesiastes); 2) a probable characteristic of the author and narrator of the eponymous book by occupation.
