Abstract
The article publishes the results of a comparative analysis of the migration policy of Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia and Lithuania in the context of modern economic transformations. A comparative analysis of the formation of the migration policy of the countries selected for the study in the context of European integration was conducted in the following areas: legal basis, compliance with EU standards, institutional support for the integration of migrants, regulation of labor migration, international cooperation. It is concluded that Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania are EU member states and form their own migration policy in full compliance with the legislation of the European Union, in Ukraine the adaptation of legislation to the requirements of the EU continues. Analysis of statistical indicators of migration flows for the period 2017–2022 allowed to identify clear trends in the directions, scale and structure of migration in the countries selected for the study. It is concluded that the dynamics of immigration flows to the Czech Republic during 2017–2021. demonstrates stable growth, which is confirmed by the increase in the positive balance from 2.32 people in 2017 to 29.58 people per 1000 population in 2022. It has been established that immigration processes in Slovakia for the period 2017–2022 have a clear downward trend, which indicates a decrease in the attractiveness of the country for immigrants. It has been established that migration processes in Poland for the period 2017–2022 are characterized by stable growth: the number of immigrants increased from 209.4 thousand people in 2017 to 275.5 thousand people in 2022, which indicates an increase in the attractiveness of Poland for migrants. It was found that significant changes occurred in migration processes in Lithuania during the period 2017–2022: the number of immigrants increased from 33.3 thousand people in 2017 to 87.4 thousand people in 2022. Based on the conducted systematic analysis of European experience, it was concluded that improving migration policy in Ukraine is possible only with the comprehensive implementation of innovative management solutions in three key areas: optimizing the regulation of labor migration, creating adaptation programs for immigrants, and harmonizing legislation with European standards.
