Abstract

This article explores the performative aspect of electroacoustic music for piano, focusing on the interpretation features, technical challenges, and new opportunities introduced by this genre. By integrating the use of electronic devices with traditional instruments, electroacous-tic music has significantly expanded both compositional and performative practices. How-ever, despite its more than half-century history, the topic of performing electroacoustic music remains underexplored, especially regarding the practical interaction between the acoustic instrument and electronics. The author analyzes the key challenges faced by performers, including the need to develop new technical skills, work with electronic devices, integrate the timbral possibilities of electronics and acoustics, and adapt to dynamic acoustic performance conditions. Special attention is given to three significant aspects of electroacoustic music that are often overlooked: textural development, the expanded tonal palette of the piano, and the spatial localization of sound. The conclusions emphasize that performing electroacoustic music for piano requires not only a high level of technical proficiency but also flexibility, audi-tory competence, and a creative approach to exploration. Performers become active partic-ipants in shaping the sonic fabric, contributing to the redefinition of traditional boundaries in instrumental music. The author highlights that this genre has great potential to expand the academic music tradition, promote live electronics among classical musicians, and shape a new system of aesthetic analysis. Electroacoustic music offers unique opportunities for inter-action between the performer and technology, providing a fresh impetus for the development of musical culture
