Abstract

The article highlights the current aspects of the new vision of the functions of pedagogical science in the context of educational practices for the training of doctors of philosophy (PhD). The conceptual and practical aspects of the implementation of the primary functions of pedagogical science and their hierarchy in the studies of applicants for the third (scientific and educational) level of higher education are substantiated.
