Abstract

The article presents a comprehensive study of the implementation of artificial intelligence systems and neural networks in music education in higher education institutions of Ukraine. The potential of neural network technologies for improving students’ musical abilities while providing an individualized learning experience is examined. The study emphasizes the significant capabilities of neural networks for creating personalized tasks that take into account individual characteristics of music perception and learning pace. The challenges and prospects associated with the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into traditional music education systems are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the transformation of the role of the teacher in the educational process, emphasizing that although technologies expand pedagogical opportunities, they cannot replace the fundamental human aspects of music education, such as emotional connection and social interaction. The Solfeg.io platform is considered as a practical example of the implementation of artificial intelligence in music education. This case study demonstrates how AI can facilitate personalized learning through data analysis, adaptive learning materials, personalized recommendations, instant feedback, and gamification elements. The platform serves as a model for understanding how AI can improve music education while maintaining the quality of learning. Several challenges in implementing AI services are identified, including the technical readiness of educational institutions, the digital competence of teachers, data privacy issues, and the need to maintain academic integrity. Methodological recommendations are proposed for implementing AI services in music education, emphasizing the importance of a phased approach, comprehensive teacher development programs, and the creation of effective monitoring systems. The study highlights the significant potential of neural networks in modernizing music education, while emphasizing the importance of preserving fundamental pedagogical principles. Directions for future research are outlined, including the development of specific methodological recommendations for integrating neural networks into various aspects of music education, the creation of adaptive curricula, and the study of international experience in implementing artificial intelligence in music education.
