Abstract

The qualification work is devoted to the study of the design features of the book "The Night Before Christmas" by Nikolai Gogol and the development of the author's design of the publication. The work examines key aspects of book design, including font solutions, illustrations, compositional techniques, and the choice of a color palette that contribute to creating the atmosphere of the work. An analysis of historical and modern approaches to the design of classical literary works was conducted, as well as the influence of visual images on the perception of the text by readers was investigated. The stylistic features of Ukrainian folk art were studied, which became the basis for creating a unique graphic concept of the publication. A comprehensive design content has been developed that harmoniously combines traditional and modern graphic design techniques. The main principles of working with text and illustrations have been determined to enhance the emotional impact of the book. The proposed design contributes not only to aesthetic perception, but also emphasizes the cultural value of the work.
