Abstract
Haran N.V. Redesign of the website of the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University. Qualification work. Kyiv: Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, 2025, the total volume of the work is 75 pages. The qualification work reveals the topic of the process of redesigning the website of the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University. The purpose of the work is to improve the User Experience and visual appearance of the site, create a mobile version of the site for its correct viewing on different devices, and improve user interaction with the educational resource. The work includes a detailed analysis of the existing university website, as well as competitive sites, which allowed us to identify the main problems in the user experience and ease of navigation. The main research method is a comparative analysis of the websites of higher educational institutions of Ukraine, familiarization with foreign experience, surveying students on the problems of using the site, as well as studying trends in the design of educational sites. The first section of the work presents the typology of websites, the features of UX/UI design of university websites, and, for the purposes of analysis, an analysis of the most successful and unsuccessful web resources of higher education institutions is carried out. Special attention is paid to the study of the target audience of the site and the definition of the main requirements for its structure and functionality, taking into account the corporate ideology of the university. The second section focuses on the direct redesign of the site. This section examines the stages of design development, starting from the creation of a concept and sketches to the development of a prototype. The structural elements of the new site are determined, among which the key ones are the welcome page, the login system for the “Electronic Learning Course” and pages focused on students and general information about the university. As a result of the work performed, an improved site design is proposed, which can be used by the university when updating its web platform. The main results are increased user convenience, improved site functionality on mobile devices, and an overall aesthetic appearance. The qualification work is a practical contribution to the improvement of the website of the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University.
