Abstract

Kavun A.O. Design of the calendar «Flora and fauna of Ukraine». Qualification work. Kyiv: Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, 2025. 80 p. The bachelor's qualification paper is dedicated to the development of a graphic calendar titled «Flora and Fauna of Ukraine», which combines elements of contemporary design with themes of natural and cultural heritage. The research explores specific features of graphic design in calendar production. The theoretical part analyzes the history of calendar design, current visual trends, and the influence of graphic development on the structure and imagery of calendars. The practical section is focused on the implementation of the design concept: a series of illustrations depicting Ukrainian flora and fauna has been developed, along with a typographic and compositional system. A complete mock-up of a wall flip calendar has been created. The project is aimed at preserving natural heritage, forming a visual identity and developing modern graphic design.
