Abstract
Tavlui Alina. Development of the tarot deck «Bamboo Forest Tarot». Qualification work. Kyiv Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, 2025.71p. The thesis is dedicated to the creation of the author's Tarot deck «Bamboo Forest Tarot», which combines the traditional symbolism of the Major Arcana with the visual language of Chinese painting. Within the framework of the project, 22 illustrations were created depicting individual archetypes and stories, united by a common space - the bamboo forest, in which the events of the entire deck unfold. The work conducted a pre-project analysis of modern author's tarot decks, studied the structure of the European system of the Major Arcana and the features of Eastern aesthetics, to which the visual language of the project was adapted. The archetypes, compositional solutions and symbolism that formed the basis for creating the deck's style were analysed. Based on the research, the execution technique, colour scheme, as well as graphic tools and programs necessary for the implementation of the project were selected. To develop the deck design in this work, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator were used.
