Abstract

The article analyzes the main principles of work on church music works in the classes of a student choir, namely: the principle of the dominant role of the word and the subordinate meaning of music in spiritual songs, which consists in the theological understanding of the meaning of the Biblical text and its professional communication to the listener; the principle of structure, ensemble coherence and emotional restraint in singing, - is based on the purity of intonation, ensemble coherence of all elements of choral sonority, emotional statics, the content of church songs; the principle of the unity of singing and spiritual and moral education and training, consists in the formation of moral, religious, empathetic qualities of the personality through the singing of church works that bring inner peace, harmony, and peace.
