Abstract

The article considers the theoretical aspect of the problem of violence and extreme situations in the context of the formation of safe behavior of victims. A comprehensive analysis of the psychological, behavioral, therapeutic and institutional aspects of the formation of safe behavior skills is made. The theoretical foundations of victimology and the psychology of violence are analyzed; the рsychological characteristics and behavioral reactions of victims are described; coping and self-protection strategies are systematized and evaluated; the effectiveness of professional therapeutic interventions is clarified; institutional and legal models of victim support are investigated. It is noted that the problem of violence ceases to be one-sided and requires an interdisciplinary approach that combines victimology, traumatology and extreme psychology. The individual psychological characteristics of victims of violence and behavioral reactions to extreme situations are described. Attention is paid to post-traumatic stress disorder, its symptoms and coping strategies. Attention is emphasized on the relevance of forming safe behavior skills, which includes training in psychological techniques, in particular assertiveness and verbal self-defense. Important information is provided on the legal context of the problem, in particular, the legal framework, state assistance to victims of violence in Ukraine, which includes state and public programs presented in the sources. It is stated that a comprehensive, holistic approach that takes into account all aspects of the victim's life (housing, finances, security) is the key to successful recovery and the formation of safe behavior skills. Practical recommendations and conclusions are provided. It is stated that violence is a multidimensional phenomenon that requires an interdisciplinary approach. The formation of safe behavior skills depends on both internal work with psychotrauma and external factors, including social support and legislative protection.
