Abstract

The article reveals the definition of the concept of "sacred music". Spiritual choral music is analyzed in the context of Orthodox theology through the analysis of the texts of the Holy Scripture, as it is well known that the beginning of liturgical singing coincides with the beginning of the history of Christianity itself, as the Gospel of Mark tells us - after the Last Supper, Christ and the apostles, "... singing, went out to the Mount of Olives" (Mark 14:26). It has been established that over the past decades, interest in religious and spiritual culture has grown significantly in Ukraine, national values and priorities are being revived.
