Abstract

The purpose of the article is to reveal the specifics of the development of the design of glass ornaments in the form of fruits and vegetables using artificial intelligence. The origin of dummies and so-called "simulations" is outlined, which have been widespread on the European market since the mid-20th century, when works made of plexiglass and plastic that imitated real edible delicacies became popular. The spread of the introduction of glass pebbles into topiary, which was fashionable to decorate interiors in Europe, and in particular Ukraine, since the 1980s, is illustrated. The formation of the tradition of decorating "trees" with glass pebbles or shapes of stylized flowers or fruits (fruits) is characterized, focusing on the requirements for ikebana and dwarf trees as a symbolic embodiment of the wish for well-being. The main idea of the study is based on the transformation of design tools carried out using artificial intelligence. The research methodology includes a combination of principles, approaches and methods. The principles of reliability, comprehensiveness and the chronological principle, design, art history and approaches were used; axiological, ontological, historical chronological, comparative, cross-cultural, sociocultural methods, as well as methods of typology, iconographic and art history analysis. Among the key tasks of the research, it is necessary to highlight the disclosure of the specifics of the formation of new forms of design projects of works in the form of fruits and vegetables made of glass and crystal, which cannot always be implemented in the material, made using artificial intelligence tools, which contribute to the development of the domestic industrial art of interior decorations and costume jewelry; clarified definitions of the origin of such works, which have been actively distributed recently via the Internet at the beginning of the 21st century. Examples of forms realized in the material are given, which differ from aesthetically attractive "appetizing" projects made with the help of AI.
