Abstract

The article comprehensively examines the features of the functioning of top management of global corporations in the context of the transformation of the world economy, which is due to the influence of the fourth industrial revolution, the dynamic development of digital technologies, geopolitical instability, changing social priorities and increased global competition. The relevance of the study is due to the need to form new management strategies that meet the modern challenges facing global companies in a changing global business environment. Classical and modern approaches to top management functions, namely planning, organization, leadership and control, are analyzed in the context of their adaptation to new realities. In particular, it is proven that strategic planning in global corporations should be based on analysis of the external environment, benchmarking, anti-crisis modeling and the use of predictive analytics. The organizational function is considered through the prism of human, financial and information resource management, taking into account the growing role of digital transformation. The leadership function is revealed as a tool for mobilizing human potential, developing soft skills, emotional intelligence and forming an innovative nvironment in the team. Control is interpreted as a systematic process of monitoring the effectiveness of activities and promptly responding to deviations from strategic goals. The article identifies current trends in the management of global corporations: people-oriented leadership, active implementation of digital technologies, transition to hybrid and remote management models, integration of ESG factors into the company's strategy, as well as the need to form flexible and adaptive management structures. It analyzes in detail how these trends change management styles, requirements for the competencies of senior managers, and approaches to decision-making. Empirical data on the use of artificial intelligence and big data analytics in the practice of modern top management are presented. The dynamics of the age structure of the management team are highlighted, which indicates a shift to the older generation of managers, which at the same time requires increased transfer of knowledge and digital competencies. It is proven that successful top management in a global dimension requires a deep understanding of international law, cross-cultural characteristics, the ability to adapt, strategic vision, innovative thinking and openness to change. The article also reveals the problems that managers of large companies face in implementing innovations: inertia of the organizational structure, personnel resistance to change, lack of technical competencies, the gap between innovative potential and the actual implementation of innovations. It is substantiated that the fourth industrial revolution is forming a new management paradigm, in which top management of global corporations plays the role not only of a manager, but also of an agent of change, capable of ensuring the strategic transformation of the company in the conditions of the digital economy, unstable markets and growing public expectations. The results of the study have theoretical and practical significance and can be used for further improvement of corporate governance models, training of new generation managers and development of educational programs in the field of international management.
