Abstract

The article analyzes the role of sacred choral music in the repertoire of the educational choral group. The concept of "sacred music" is revealed. The subordination of sacred choral music to the theological meaning of the Biblical text is substantiated. The pedagogical functions of sacred choral music are outlined.Emphasis is placed on the formation of moral, religious, and empathetic qualities of the individual through singing spiritual choral works that bring inner peace, harmony, and tranquility, which is confirmed by the holy fathers of the Church.
