Abstract

Teaching children to play children's musical instruments is the first stage of collective instrumental music making. Modern methods of teaching preschoolers to play children's musical instruments actively use the theory of pedagogy of Carl Orff and Maria Montessori. Orff pedagogy is a special type of creative musical pedagogy. It is based on the understanding of music, movement, and words. Maria Montessori's pedagogical system was based on the ideas of free education, that is, child-centeredness, in which any authoritarian pressure on the child is unacceptable, and respect for his or her personality dominates.
