Abstract
This thesis is a first executed historical-epistemological approach to the Ukrainian opera art as the phenomenon of national culture. The comprehensive considering of philosophic-cultural and historiography paradigms of history of Ukrainian opera art is proposed, its interdependence with the practical-creative experience of Ukrainian art culture of the 60-ies of XIX - the first third of the XX century is proposed. Opera is revealed as musical-theatrical reflection of dominant ideas – historical a priori – existential-meaning intentions of the Ukrainian culture of corresponding era, features of historical becoming of Ukrainian opera art are highlight with socio-cultural positions.
