Abstract

This study explores the implementation of a cross-media approach in contemporary youth media, using the online outlet YULA News as a case study. The platform operates within a multimedia ecosystem that includes a website, Інстаграм, Телеграм channel, and also collaborates with AVTORADIO Ukraine and the Ukrainian music award YUNA, thereby forming a unified informational space aimed at promoting culture among young audiences. YULA News functions as a dynamic platform that integrates text, photo, video, and audio content tailored to the specifics of each platform. The cross-media special project examined in this research focuses on the creation and synchronized promotion of journalistic materials covering Ukrainian artists, cultural initiatives, and events in the entertainment industry. Particular emphasis is placed on combining formats such as Інстаграм posts, stories, Reels, Телеграм updates, and audio segments broadcast on AVTORADIO Ukraine. This integrated approach enables effective audience engagement, broadens communication channels, and strengthens the presence of Ukrainian cultural content in the media landscape. The project contributes to fostering cultural self-identification, building a positive image of Ukraine during wartime, and highlights the role of digital journalism as a tool for uniting, supporting, and educating youth. The work has an applied nature and demonstrates the effectiveness of implementing cross-media strategies in the operation of independent youth media within the Ukrainian context.
