Abstract
“Stop Fake Line” is an original Instagram blog created as an informational and educational project in response to the massive spread of Russian fake news during the full-scale war against Ukraine. The project combines short fact-checking materials, visual explanations, and interactive content aimed at debunking disinformation that threatens Ukrainian society. This blog is not just a collection of posts — it is a complete journalistic media product that meets the standards of accuracy, balance, and relevance. The content is designed with the habits of a young digital audience in mind: short carousel posts, Reels, Stories, a glossary of fake-related terms, clear rubrication, and visual identity. The blog integrates text, imagery, video, and infographics in accordance with Instagram’s multimedia nature. The main goal of the project is to enhance the level of critical thinking, media literacy, and informational hygiene among its followers. As part of the development process, a comparative analysis of similar platforms — such as StopFake, Detector Media, and VoxCheck — was conducted, along with testing of various content formats. This helped shape a distinct niche within the ecosystem of journalistic initiatives on Instagram aimed at combating fake news. The “Stop Fake Line” project proves that even within a social media format, it is possible to create a modern, flexible, and ethical media product that protects Ukraine’s information space.
