Abstract

The study is devoted to studying the role of university media in the educational, professional and practical training of future journalists. General scientific theoretical and empirical research methods were used. The activities of educational and production workshops of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University as platforms for professional training of media workers were analyzed. In-depth interviews were conducted with heads of practice bases, student interns, and media teachers. Thanks to the results obtained and introspection as a method of self-observation, conclusions were drawn about the key role of university media in the educational process at the initial stages of the formation of professional journalistic skills and the formation of a future journalism professional, as well as the practical value of the work of university practice bases.
