Abstract
The historical space of Ukraine was formed under the influence of other countries, therefore, in current information there is information about the ethnic heritage of Ukraine, but with notes that it may have belonged to other peoples. Against the background of socio-political events taking place in Ukraine, namely the local (since 2014), and later the full-scale (since 2022) war, people have become more interested in the true ethnicity of the country in order to know, understand the true information and resist the information struggle. Journalism plays an important role in the research and study of these problems, namely its genre - the article. It is this genre that is a tool for forming public opinion, disseminating objective and truthful information, as well as for analyzing ethnic processes. As part of the work, a media project “Winds of Ancestors” was created, which includes articles about ethnic clothing, jewelry, Ukrainian traditions, rituals, the Ukrainian language, lullabies, the “FreeAzov” campaign, and the Kyiv City Museum. All materials were approved on the Facebook page.
