Abstract

This thesis examines the transformation of travel journalism during wartime conflict, using Ukraine after February 24, 2022, as a case study. The research analyzes radical changes in functions, genres, and ethical standards of travel journalism, which has shifted from entertainment content to documenting war crimes, preserving cultural memory, and building international support. Special attention is given to analyzing the successful case of the Travel Ukraine now media project, which demonstrates innovative approaches to genre adaptation. The study reveals the emergence of new content forms, including war tourism, memorial journalism, and virtual travel, while outlining prospects for industry development in the post-war period. The work includes the development of an original media project and formulation of practical recommendations for the media industry.
