Abstract

The paper explores an author's blog as a form of modern infotainment journalism. The Instagram blog “Laughter and Motherhood,” focused on parenting and child development, is analyzed in terms of genre and thematic features. The research highlights the combination of informative and entertaining functions, use of storytelling, humor, self-irony, and visual content. The practical part includes the blog’s launch, twenty-seven posts based on personal experience, and analysis of user engagement. In four days, the blog gained over 200 followers and 19000 profile visits. The study proves the effectiveness of the infotainment approach in digital journalism and the potential of a personal blog as a communication tool.
