Abstract

"Oriyentyr" is a career guidance podcast in the format of a series of interviews following the principle “one episode – one guest – one profession.” Its goal is to provide Ukrainian youth with more tools, examples, and inspiration for making conscious career choices in times of war and social instability. In each episode, the host talks to young professionals under 30 from various fields: journalism, marketing, finance, beauty, education, and more. The guests share their personal experiences, professional journeys, and practical advice for listeners who are facing uncertainty. A key element of the podcast is also stories about the challenges they’ve faced due to the full-scale war, relocations, loss of stability, and the transformation of the labor market. The name “Oriyentyr” (Ukrainian for “landmark” or “guideline”) is symbolic: the podcast is designed as a compass for young people searching for direction — in their careers, education, and life. It’s an attempt to amplify the voices of those who have already made their choice and are ready to share their experiences with those still standing at a crossroads. The platform for implementing and distributing the project’s materials is the social network Spotify. Additionally, Instagram and Facebook are used. Using multiple social media platforms helps reach a wider audience and effectively communicate with listeners to understand their struggles and needs.
